Student Spotlight: Kristophor

As a journalist, Kristophor doesn't always have a lot of extra time — but when he got an idea for a mobile app to help in the note taking process, he decided to explore online courses. He wanted to build an app fast, and researched all the other online training out there before deciding to enroll in One Month Rails. He found it to be an informative and intuitive. Previously, he said, other courses weren't as easy to follow-through with or required a large amount of interpretation. One Month's project-based framework was super helpful, and he was able to get through it quickly — a plus for his packed schedule.

An Added Bonus: Build it Yourself!

After taking the class, he realized he could build something himself without a whole team of developers. He was pleasantly surprised that he could apply some of the discipline and teachings to his own journalism career. Though he hasn’t figured out a way to fully incorporate coding into his job yet, his new found applied knowledge of how a system is put together helps on a daily basis.
