Rockstar Teacher (part-time)
One Month is looking for an amazing teacher!
We are looking for a talented teacher for our next One Month class.
Please get in touch if you (or a friend you'd like to nominate) is an expert in one of the following topics:
- JavaScript
- UX
- Python
- Project Management
- Lean Startup Methodologies / Launching an MVP
- App Design (Mobile or Desktop)
- Sales
- Recruiting
- Analytics
- Have a suggestion for something to teach?
Responsibilities
- Work with the One Month team to develop a class curriculum
- Record a series of video and screencasts to supplement the online class
- Maintain and update the course material beyond the release date. This is a part-time responsibility that ensures your class is THE BEST first month of learning that topic ever created in the history of the world!
Qualifications
- Located in NYC or willing to relocate.
- An appetite for knowledge!
- Teaching experience: you have experience teaching online, offline or in a training environment.
- Empathetic
- You don't compromise on quality: You're willing to put in an extra 5 hours to rerecord a piece if that’s what it takes.
- Comfortable on camera
- BONUS: You took an improv class once in your life.
- BONUS: You have a generally outgoing and fun vibe that will make our students smile.
Time Commitment
Every course is different, but in general, course creation takes roughly 50-70 hours of a teacher's time over 3 months. It could end up being a few hours each week, or we could pack it all into a few weeks. What I'm saying is: we are flexible, as long as you are.
